You’ve recently made a lot of healthy progress in your life and career, but you feel that it’s time for a new challenge. You may be considering a new career, re-training in a new field or moving abroad. You find yourself challenged by the idea of having to adopt a beginner’s mindset again, when you’ve already built up a strong foundation for your career and life. However, there’s an allure to the unknown and the benefits seem to outweigh the costs. You’re feeling nervous excitement about this transition. As someone who has transitioned careers, left corporate to become self-employed and moved to 3 non-english speaking countries, I work with you to strengthen the muscle of adaptation and create a structure for the transition.

I support professionals as they make the bold transition from an established career into entrepreneurship. You have a desire to positively contribute to the world through a purpose-driven business, whilst creating a life of autonomy and abundance for yourself and your loved ones. You’re excited by the creative freedom that entrepreneurship presents, but you find yourself intimidated by the prospect of stepping away from the structure of your previous career. I work with you to increase your tolerance for the uncertainty of new experiences, whilst distilling your identity and purpose so that you can move forward with direction, momentum and confidence.

Even though history suggests that you’re more than capable, you find yourself procrastinating by planning and researching until you feel ready to go for it.   • Both coaching and mentoring are about helping people get to where they want to go. A distinct difference between the disciplines is that mentoring is directive and coaching is non-directive.

    In practice, this means that a mentor is likely to direct the conversation by providing suggestions, instructions and advice, based on their area of expertise or their own personal experience.

    The coaching process is designed to empower you to find the answers to your own challenges. A coach facilitates dialogue which enables greater self-discovery, awareness and autonomy in order to reshape different areas of life. This is done through reflection, observation, incisive questions and the use of evidence-based models from psychology.

  • Everyone faces psychological struggles at some point in their life. It’s simply part of being human. Not all struggles are created equal and nor should they be treated as such. A key distinction separating emotional discomfort from mental illness is whether you are functioning below what you would consider ordinary levels.

    Therapists are trained to diagnose and treat emotional and mental health concerns. In therapy, it is often helpful to explore the past. Coaches typically work with individuals who are psychologically healthy and want to make additional gains. The dialogue may touch on the past for context, but is primarily future-focussed.

    Coaches often employ therapeutic strategies and therapists often draw from coaching strategies. Therapy can be a great pre-requisite for coaching, because an individual who has developed a high level of emotional skill makes an ideal coaching client poised to become a powerful creator.

  • Yes. I offer a complimentary 50-minute consultation for those who are looking to invest in coaching support and would like to experience my style and approach. Consultations are by application. Click the 'Apply' button in the navigation and you will be directed to a form. Once you complete the form, you will be prompted to schedule a call with me.

  • A standard coaching conversation is 60 minutes. The first 20 minutes is dedicated to discussing your progress since the last session, and defining an outcome or goal for this session. In the next 30 minutes, we explore your current reality and what your options are. The final 10 minutes is used to finalise action items, learnings and next steps.

  • Please come prepared with a goal or outcome you would like to explore for each coaching session. It is common that a client will have an overarching goal which we work towards over a number of sessions. Each session will focus on a different aspect of the overarching goal.

  • Growth is not something that happens overnight. In a single session, you might expect to come away with some temporary relief from the challenge at hand, however, this is not enough to create lasting change. For new clients, I recommend starting with the Alignment package, which includes up to 3 sessions per month for 3 months. Existing clients may book maintenance sessions, as and when needed.

Jennifer has a calm and peaceful manner which always makes my coaching sessions feel a safe space for opening up. She has given me room to explore my thoughts and feelings, goals and dreams.
